About Us

Heath Dill has conducted over 3,300 technical interviews since 2016.  As the first high-volume interviewer at karat.com, he was instrumental in creating and refining many of the field's best practices, from streamlined delivery of coding questions to crafting the perfect candidate experience.  He created extensive interview content, trained dozens of technical interviewers, and passed along countless nuances of technique to his colleagues.

Since retiring from coding interviews, he has brought his craft to the software startup world, interviewing candidates for ICs and CTOs alike, ensuring that all-important first hires and small team members are world-class developers with the communication and team skills that are so essential in today's workplace.

We work with our clients to understand the specific needs of each position they have open - technology stack, business requirements, company culture and values, and more.  

We then make a plan for each candidate, touching on the relevant points of their experience and creating an interview structure that covers the breadth of their knowledge while diving deep on the most important aspects.  Our video interviews are recorded for our clients, and we provide a detailed written analysis of the candidate's strengths and weaknesses, work history, and interpersonal skills.  

We also provide subject-specific interviews with domain experts, such as cybersecurity and cloud services, in separate interviews when our clients need a focused technical deep dive on individual topics.

After each interview, we coordinate with our clients to ensure that the interview met their needs, adjusting for subsequent candidates as necessary, and to answer any further questions that they may have about the candidate.

Next Level Interviewing launched in August of 2023.  Along with serving our current clients, we are actively seeking new customers and hiring new interviewers - software generalists as well as specialists in various technical fields.
